( Birthday of the Great Lord Shri Krishna)

Janmashtami is also called as Krishna Janmashtami or Gokula Ashtami, meaning or dedicated to celebrate the birthday of great lord Krishna. He is the 8th form of Great lord Vishnu.

It is celebrated by all hindus in rainy season, with great enthusiasm, and zeal. Throughout the night, there will be skits, divine songs, dance, etc, and everyone rejoices on the name of lord Krishna.

Devki( Mother of lord Krishna) means divine body, and vasudeva (Father of lord krishna) means prana, the vital life force, so when prana was put into divine body, it gave birth to bliss( meaning happiness, positive strength and purity) in the form of great lord Krishna.

Where happiness, positive strength, and purity lies, there ego and hatred cant sustain, hence his maternal uncle Kansa was killed by him.

When Shree Krishna was born in prison, all guards and the demon Kansa fell asleep, this was because where there is purity and divinity the 5 senses that is vision, hearing ability, touch, smell, tongue do not function, however when the objective is good, all these 5 senses come to aid, and become super smartly active along with nature, hence inspite of the terrible flood Vasudeva crossed the dangerous river, and saved lord Krishna.

Lord Krishna's birth and celeberations are a proof that good surely wins over evil, and one should be happy always, and never give up over their lives. True followers of Lord Krishna should surely understand and follow this simple principle of life.
